2022 Color Trends That Are Crystal Clear

Crystal, from the Greek word meaning “ice.” Color will be transformative, unclouded, clean, and healing. We now look at colors to boost energy, prevent bad energy, release blocked energy and help transform you into a place of zen. This is 2022.

I love everything about this color palette! Why? Because it’s original, had not been seen in every single house, on every single blog, and most of all — it feels good!

Like crystal, these colors are crisp — put those muted old colors away; sorry, Sea Salt, we have clarity in our homes now, and it makes a world of difference.

The periwinkle blue on the left is light and upbeat. It is the color of the sky, and as we look up to many things in life, we see this blue. It is guiding, clear, and lifts our spirits on those days that were once gray.

The beautiful Mallow color takes us back in time to the 1890s to the Mauve Decade. It’s the only color in the palette that really has a touch of gray like the morning sky as it begins to clear. What’s great about this color is that you can darken it a few shades, and it take you into the world of rich, saturated, dark purple, which is a great hue to have in the home, in any shade.

The lightest color I have here is by far a white. It has a touch of color to it, so it will change along with the lighting in your home and what you have around it. Like the opalescence of moonstone, this color is soft and dreamy.

Last but not least, I have a beautiful lavender. Like the crown chakra, this color is or should be the focal point in your home. Representing your connection to Source and spirituality, lavender has one of the highest frequencies in the color realm, and it’s for a reason. This is another great color for, yes, the ceiling. Put away stark whites; they are too sharp for color-sensitive people.

From yoga rooms, meditation spaces, bedrooms, and any living area in the home, this color palette is perfect! It has forward-moving energy, which we need for 2022. Step into these colors and feel them for yourself. Update your home for the new year and put away all the old, dated memories of the times that no longer resonate with us. We are stepping into a new reset, and it starts with how we feel about color and ourselves.

What else to bring into the home for 2022?

Sacred Geometry. Bring those shapes you see in nature into your home. It’s about triangles, squares, circles, lines, and those shapes like our pyramids that are here for a reason.

Light. Natural light is great, but also, use LED smart bulbs for your home that you can easily change with the click of a button from your WiFi. These mood-changing bulbs are a lifesaver, and you can instantly adjust the colors in your home with this lighting. I have it in my home, and it is a must.

Aroma. Our senses are in full force for 2022, and this includes our noses. Essential oils, incenses, candles, homemade room sprays are the perfect finishing touches for the home. Use natural oils and be careful with the pets in your home; some are hazardous to them. Do NOT use chemical sprays or those plug-ins that are cancerous sprays that do NOT belong in the home. Bring in fresh mint from the garden, squeeze it to release the oils in the air, and breath it in.

Plants. Have just one room filled with plants of all kinds. Use this room to read — no electronics allowed — and use it to unwind and recharge. I have a room like this in my home, and it is worth its weight in gold. Everyone that visits my room says it feels so good, and it does! Read, do yoga, qigong, meditate or just unwind. This room is a must!

So there you have it. I hope you follow some in not all these suggestions for 2022. Minus the colors, I have all of it in my home. I’d love to repaint my home, but as a designer who LOVES color, I’ve already painted my home too many times.

Happy New Year my friends!
